STANFORD, Calif. - Senior libero Gabi Ailes has been named the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Cardinal defense in two Pac-10 Conference wins at Washington State and No. 11 Washington last weekend. She averaged 5.38 digs and 1.63 assists in the two matches.
Ailes made history on Friday night as she became the first Stanford player and just the seventh Pac-10 player to register 2,000 career digs.
