STANFORD, Calif.-- Stanford swimmer Austin Staab was named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week after taking home Pac-10 titles in the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley, as well as a third place finish in the 100 freestyle. In addition to these top-three finishes, Staab was a part of three second place relay teams, in help in leading the Cardinal swim team to its 30th-straight Pac-10 title.
Staab won the 100 fly for the third time in his career and picked up another title in the 200 IM. Stanford placed an unprecedented four swimmers in the A Finals of the 100 free, as Staab was third in the nightcap on the final night, leading the Cardinal to the conference title.
Staab opened up the competition with a school-record in the 200 IM on Thursday.
