  • A 2010 graduate of Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, Calif., the same school that produced teammate Dylan Kordic '12 and 2010 graduate Jason Palacios 
  • Helped Mustangs to the CIF Southern Section Division I and Bay League titles in 2008, and to the section semifinals in 2009 
  • Named MVP of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions
  • Named to Volleyball Magazine's High School All-America second team
  • Named as one of "32 Underclassmen to Watch." 
  • Played for the Southern California Volleyball club, which finished fourth in the 2009 junior nationals in the Open 17's division 
  • Was named to the All-Tournament team
