No. 1 Arizona 60, Stanford 57 - A chronological story through GIFs and tweets.

Stanford raced to a 9-2 lead.

Behind five points from Dwight Powell, Stanford took a 9-2 lead to the first media timeout. The Cardinal defense started strong, as Janie McCauley pointed out...

 Arizona stormed back

Arizona rallied, as any No. 1 would, and went on a 16-5 run over the  next 6:16. The defense remained but the offense went cold...

 But Stanford battled...

 ...and regained the lead.

Marcus Allen hit the jumper above and Chasson Randle followed with a layup to give the Cardinal a 23-22 advantage with 4:55 left in the half.

...and regained the lead...again.

Anthony Brown sent the team to the lockerroom with this runner. Halftime score: Stanford 31, No. 1 Arizona 30.

The second half began with a bang.

Or more like a swat.

Randle made it a five-point lead.

A big three from Chasson Randle with 15:50 left gave the Cardinal its biggest lead since the 15:13 mark of the first half. The crowd was rocking, both in noise and tweets...

Stanford led for the next 10:31.

And the Cardinal's confidence remained...

 The game remained locked.

In more than one way...

 Powell tied it again.

 A chance to even it.

Came up empty. But...

 And at the buzzer...

...Arizona escaped.
