Brooke Eubanks, an assistant coach for the Stanford lacrosse team for the past six seasons, has left to become head coach at the University of California.

Eubanks arrived at Stanford with head coach Amy Bokker in the fall of 2008, having worked together at George Mason. She helped the Cardinal to an 81-34 record and four NCAA tournament appearances during her time on The Farm.

Eubanks becomes the third Stanford assistant under Bokker to earn an NCAA Division I head coaching position. She follows Jaime Sellers of Coastal Carolina and Lauren Schwarzmann, who recently took over at Mount St. Mary's.

Bokker, also a U.S. national team assistant coach, is seeking an offensive coordinator to complete a Stanford staff that also includes U.S. national team goalie Liz Hogan.
The Cardinal is coming off a 14-5 season, in which it reached its fourth NCAA tournament in five years. Stanford advanced to its 17th consecutive conference tournament final and featured junior midfielder Hannah Farr, an IWLCA second-team All-American and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Year.

Farr was among four Stanford players named to the IWLCA All-West Region team, three of whom are returning. In addition, 15 Cardinal earned MPSF All-Academic honors, the most in the 10-team conference.
