Farr Named All-American

STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford junior midfielder Hannah Farr was named second-team All-America by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association.

This was the first All-America honor for Farr, a native of Hillsborough, Calif., and a product of San Francisco’s St. Ignatius Prep. She is the fifth player in Stanford women’s lacrosse history to become an All-America and the first since Leslie Foard was a first-team selection in 2011.

Farr was the player of the year in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, becoming the first California native to win the honor. She also was named to the IWLCA All-West Region first team, and was an MPSF All-Academic selection.

Farr was co-captain of a Stanford team, which finished 14-5 and advanced to the NCAA tournament. She scored 31 goals and had 13 assists for 44 points. She also led the Cardinal in draw controls (41) and was second in ground balls (33), and tied for fourth in caused turnovers (13).

Farr is two-sport athlete at Stanford, also playing soccer. A midfielder in soccer as well, she was a member of Stanford’s NCAA championship soccer team in 2011.
