STANFORD, Calif. – Patrick Rodgers has been named the Pac-12 Conference Men’s Golfer of the Month for April, the league announced Friday.

The junior from Avon, Ind., earned the honor for the second straight month as he paced the Cardinal to a pair of team victories that included the Western Intercollegiate (April 12-13) and the Pac-12 Championships (April 25-27). The Pac-12 title was Stanford’s first since 1994.

At the Western Intercollegiate in Santa Cruz, Calif., Rodgers fired a 5-under 203 (65-69-71) to finish second by two strokes to teammate Cameron Wilson.

Rodgers posted a 7-under 281 (71-65-73-72) to earn medalist honors at the Pac-12 Championships. During his second round at The Gallery Golf Club, Rodgers carded three eagles in an eight-hole stretch and built a six stroke lead he didn’t relinquish on the way to his 10th career victory. That now leaves him one win shy of matching Tiger Woods’ school record of 11 victories.

Rodgers, the 2014 Pac-12 Men’s Golfer of the Year, has won five times this season, including four in the last five tournaments.

Stanford now awaits the NCAA Championships selections on May 5.
