Six Named All-Academic

STANFORD, Calif. – Six Stanford players earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors recognizing academic and athletic success, as announced Friday by the conference.

Hanna Winter claimed first-team recognition with a 3.55 GPA as a computer science major. It is the second All-Academic honor of her career after being named to the second team last season.

Winter hit .333 on the year and led Stanford in runs (48), assists (134) and stolen bases (16). She ranked second on the team in hits (59) and triples (3), and fifth in on-base percentage (.407).

Kayla Bonstrom and Cassandra Roulund were selected to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team. It is the first award for Bonstrom and the second for Roulund, who was named an honorable mention a year ago.

Bonstrom, who is undeclared and holds a 3.48 GPA, finished the year with a .333 batting average, led the team with 44 RBI, and was second on the team in fewest strikeouts (10), total bases (86), doubles (15) and triples (3). She excelled against Pac-12 competition, hitting .321 and leading the team in doubles (8) and total bases (42).

Roulund, a communication major with a 3.39 GPA, provided power and multiple highlight-reel defensive plays in center field throughout the season. She led the team with four triples and was second in the team with 15 RBI. Of the 19 hits Roulund accumulated against conference opponents, eight went for extra bases.

Corey Hanewich, Kaitlin Schaberg and Tylyn Wells each received Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention nods. It is the third consecutive honor for Hanewich, and the first for Schaberg and Wells.

To be eligible for Pac-12 All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA and be a significant contributor.
