STANFORD, Calif. – Four Stanford players earned All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association earlier this week.
Cassandra Roulund (3.61), Jenna Rich (3.58), Teagan Gerhart (3.71) and Tegan Schmidt (3.63) represented the Cardinal on the list that recognizes student-athletes who achieved a 3.50 GPA or higher during the 2012-13 academic year.
Along with excelling in the classroom, the group helped lead Stanford to a 39-21 overall record, a fourth-place finish in the Pac-12 (13-11) and was 26-10 against nonconference opponents.
The Cardinal ended the year ranked No. 21/22 after reaching the finals of the NCAA Lincoln Regional.
