STANFORD, Calif. -- The Stanford women’s swimming and diving team earned a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team award, the organization announced. The honor, supported by Nike Swim, acknowledges all teams that post a combined grade-point average over 3.0 during the championship season semester.

Stanford’s team, which finished second at the NCAA championship meet, earned a 3.27 GPA during the second half of the 2013-14 academic year. The mark tied with California for the best in the Pac-12 Conference.

Leading the way for the Cardinal was Capital One Academic All-America honoree Maya DiRado. A senior management science and engineering major, DiRado owned a 3.63 cumulative GPA during her four years on The Farm. Her senior season proved to be her most successful in the pool, as she swept the NCAA’s IM events on her way to 21 career All-American awards.
