Stanford at U.S. Championships

STANFORD, Calif. – Ten current and former Stanford men’s gymnasts will compete at the 2013 P&G Gymnastics Championships Aug. 15-18 at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.

Six Cardinal will compete in the senior division, while four incoming freshmen will participate in the junior division. The championships will determine U.S. champions and the U.S. national team for the junior and senior elite levels.

The senior division will include Chris Turner (senior), Sean Senters (redshirt junior), Brian Knott (junior), Akash Modi (freshman), Eddie Penev (’13) and Josh Dixon (’11). Sophomore Kevin Baker also qualified for the championships, but will not be competing due to an injury.

Freshmen Jordan DeClerk, Andrew McCabe, Taylor Seaton and Drew Willoughby will compete in the junior division.

Session I of the senior division will be televised on Aug. 16 on the NBC Sports Network at 5 p.m. (PT) and Session II will air on Aug. 18 on NBC at 10 a.m. (PT). The junior competition will be streamed live online.
