STANFORD, Calif. – A full array of ticket opportunities is now available for Stanford women’s soccer this season.

The Cardinal, the 2011 NCAA champion, is a perennial national power and returns nine starters from a team that finished 15-6-1 and reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen a year ago.

Stanford has an equally strong schedule that features 11 NCAA tournament teams from last year and seven opponents among the Top 20 in the final NSCAA rankings. Also, six opponents are coming off regular-season conference championships.

South Bay rival Santa Clara (No. 7 in 2013), Southeastern Conference regular-season champ Florida (No. 10), and three-time NCAA champion Notre Dame (No. 14), now under former Stanford assistant Theresa Romagnolo, each are coming to Stanford’s Laird Q. Cagan Stadium this season.

Season tickets (combined with men’s games), single-match tickets, group tickets and mini plans are now available. Fans can purchase online at GoStanford.com or by calling 1-800-STANFORD (1-800-782-6367).

Stanford opens the season on Aug. 22 at North Carolina. The Cardinal’s home opener is Sept. 4 against UC Santa Barbara at 7:30 p.m., in the first of 13 matches Stanford will play on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Cardinal has appeared in the past 16 NCAA tournaments and 23 of the past 24. In addition, Stanford has reached the College Cup final four five of the past six years. In the past five seasons, Stanford has a record of 109-10-6, and has produced 12 All-Americans under head coach Paul Ratcliffe.

The Cardinal, which reported for preseason training Tuesday, features a seven-member freshman class rated No. 1 in the country by TopDrawerSoccer.com. Included are local products Jaye Boissiere, Zoe Pacalin, and Sarah Robinson – teammates on the Mountain View/Los Altos Lightning club team.

Stanford returns 2013 Pac-12 goal-scoring leader Taylor Uhl, and All-West Region players Maddie Bauer, Lo’eau LaBonta, and Chioma Ubogagu.
