STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford and BYU have agreed to play a four-game football series in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2025.
Stanford will host the first two games of the series in Stanford, Calif. BYU will visit Stanford Stadium November 28, 2020 and November 26, 2022 – both on Thanksgiving weekends.
Stanford will travel to LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah on September 2, 2023 and again Sept. 13, 2025.
“We are extremely pleased to have Brigham Young University on our future schedules,” said Bernard Muir, the Jaquish & Kenninger Director of Athletics at Stanford. “BYU football has a tremendous history of success in football with a large fan base. I think this series will be wonderful for both programs and for all college football fans.”
Stanford and BYU have met just twice on the gridiron. Stanford defeated BYU in both games with an 18-14 victory in Provo in 2003 and by a 37-10 margin in 2004 at Stanford Stadium.
