STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford football season tickets are now sold out with over 33,000 tickets sold. The figure represents both a sales record and first time that Stanford has sold out of season tickets. Limited quantities of single game tickets go on sale August 1 on GoStanford.com.
Single game tickets for marquee games including California, Notre Dame and Oregon will be sold using a Predictable Dynamic Pricing structure. Further information will be provided on July 24.
Included in the record number of season ticket sales are sold out family and young alumni plans, which were the first subsections to sell out. The number of tickets rises to 38,000 after factoring-in the Stanford student section, the Red Zone. Coupled with a season ticket holder presale for individual game tickets, group ticket sales and required allotments for visiting schools, Stanford Stadium’s 50,000 seat capacity is filling fast.
Additionally, ongoing mini-plan sales continue at a brisk pace with limited availability remaining. With those plans, fans choose one game per month with price ranges varying from $159 to $199 depending on seat location.
Despite the record demand and various plans already offered, Stanford is committed to preserving its single game ticket program.
Beginning August 1, Stanford will begin offering tickets using mobile delivery - the ability to deliver tickets to a mobile device and the ability to present that mobile device for entry at an event. The Mobile Delivery feature can be used to send tickets as PDF files that are formatted for viewing on a smart phone or Apple Passbook files that can be stored as tickets on select Apple devices. Tickets delivered via mobile delivery include a 2D barcode that can be scanned for entry at an event.
The reigning Pac-12 champion Cardinal plays seven home games this season and has posted an 18-1 mark at Stanford Stadium over the past three seasons with a 24-2 mark over the last four.
Stanford's season opens Sept. 7 with an 8 p.m. (PT) home game against a San Jose State team that won 11 games a year ago. The game will be televised nationally on Pac-12 Networks.
