Position:
Brad Hauser, a 2000 United States Olympian in the 5,000 meters, has joined the Cardinal coaching staff to add his expertise and knowledge to the Stanford distance runners.

Brad joined the immortals of the Cardinal track & field program by winning five NCAA running titles, and being named an All-American 14 times. He culminated his running career in 2000 by helping lead the Cardinal to the NCAA outdoor title. Hauser helped the NCAA title effort by winning both the 5,000 and 10,000 meter crowns at Duke University. He also won the NCAA indoor 5,000 meter titles in 1998 and 1999, and the 10,000 meter crown in 1998. Hauser is the school record holder in the 5,000 meters (13:27.31) and 10,000 meters (28:08.12). Brad ended his 2000 season with a berth in the 5,000 meters for the United States at the Olympics in Sydney.

Brad also distinguished himself on the cross country trails for Stanford. In four seasons (1995-98), he helped lead Stanford to two NCAA titles and a second place finish.

In short, no one would argue that Brad Hauser is the finest distance runner in school history.

Brad graduated from Stanford in June, 2000, with a degree in Human Biology.
