STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford senior women's volleyball player Morgan Boukather was named the #GoStanford Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Cardinal to wins at Colorado and Utah last week.
Boukather, a human biology major from Newport Beach, Calif., averaged a team-best 3.44 kills on a .377 hitting percentage to go with 2.11 digs, 0.56 blocks and 3.83 points per set.
At Colorado, Boukather tallied 13 kills and eight digs as the Cardinal rallied from behind to take down the Buffs. At Utah, she set a career high with 18 kills on a team-best .467 attack percentage to go with 11 digs and four blocks for her fourth double-double of the year.
It marks the first weekly honor for Boukather and the second of the season for the women's volleyball program. Junior Jordan Burgess earned the nod last week.
Stanford (8-0 Pac-12) is off to its best start to a season at 18-0 since 1994 when it went 20-0. The Cardinal plays host to No. 17 UCLA on Friday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. and No. 19 USC on sunday, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. Both matches will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
