STANFORD, Calif. - Head coach David Shaw and players Ty Montgomery and A.J. Tarpley represented Stanford at the Bay Area College Football Media Day and Luncheon Wednesday at the new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.
Shaw, Montgomery and Tarpley met with the local media along with the head coach and players from Cal and San Jose State to talk about the upcoming season.
The event, put on by the San Francisco Bowl Game Association, gave the three Bay Area schools a chance to talk about their program just before they start fall practice.
After the three schools talked to the media, they participated in a luncheon with several fans and supporters. Shaw addressed the crowd, while play-by-play voice Scott Reiss and Tarpley entertained the audience with a Q&A session.
The event was the first held at the new stadium since the ribbon-cutting ceremony two weeks ago. Levi's Stadium will be the site of this year's Pac-12 Championship game on Dec. 5.
