Lee, a human biology major, and the other attendees also took part in a community service event with EnrichLA. The group participated in a “Huddle” with students from El Serreno Middle School (6-8th grades) in an informal panel discussion led by former Stanford swimmer Summer Sanders (Olympic Gold Medalist and past Honda Sports Award winner) and Deitre Collins-Parker (past Honda-Broderick Cup Winner and U.S. Olympian).
Nine members of the Cardinal women’s swimming and diving team have claimed the sport’s award 11 times since its inception in 1976-77. Stanford leads all swimming and diving programs.
Lee’s teammate Maya DiRado was also a finalist for the women’s swimming sport award.
