Each week will feature a Q-and-A with members of the softball team. This week, get to know junior Tylyn Wells.

Why did you decide to come to Stanford?
The people.  

When you were a kid and even now, who would be your role models in the sport?
I pitched when I was younger, so I really liked Cat Osterman. I also looked up to Natasha Watley.

What is your favorite memory of your softball career thus far?
Before Stanford, winning the 18 Gold Nationals. At Stanford, my first collegiate hit freshman year.

What is your major at Stanford, and what are your career aspirations?
I am a political science major. I want to go to law school and get into sports law. I would like to work for a professional league like the NFL or NBA, ESPN, or maybe the NCAA.

What is the best advice you have ever gotten, and from whom?
“Control the controllable.” - My father.

What are three things on your bucket list?
1. Travel to the motherland.
2. Befriend Serena Williams.
3. Adopt a 13-year-old foster child.
