STANFORD, Calif. --
John Hochstatter gets the ball for game two of the three-game series against visiting Washington State Saturday afternoon on Pac-12 Networks. The Cardinal is looking to clinch the series after winning game one, 5-2.

Stanford (25-22) benefited from an excellent outing from freshman Cal Quantrill, who worked eight innings, while allowing only one earned run.

The lineup was led by Alex Blandino's two RBI and a towering two-run home run by Zach Hoffpauir in the sixth inning. Hoffpauir takes a career-best nine-game hitting streak into today's game, while Austin Slater is also on the best run of his career with an 11-game streak. Blandino has hit safely in eight straight games and reached in 17 in a row.
