STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 3 Stanford men's volleyball team (20-17, 17-7 MPSF) carries an 11-match winning streak into the postseason as it hosts to No. 6 seed UC Irvine (18-10, 15-9 MPSF) for a MPSF Tournament quarterfinal match on Saturday, April 19. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT in Maples Pavilion.

Group tickets are available through Friday. Groups of 10 or more are $5 each and can be obtained by calling the ticket office or purchasing in-person before Saturday.
The first 250 Stanford students will receive free admission. Tickets can be picked up at the Maples ticket office starting at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Cardinal closed out the regular season on an 11-match winning streak to obtain the three seed in the MPSF Tournament. Ranked No. 3 nationally, Stanford leads the MPSF in hitting percentage (.334) and aces (1.44), while ranking second in the conference in kills (13.56) and opponent hitting percentage (.240). Senior outside hitters Brian Cook and Steven Irvin rank in the top-15 in the MPSF in both kills and points per set. Sophomore middle Conrad Kaminski is the only MPSF player hitting over .500 on the season (.502), while also ranking in the top-15 in blocks per set (1.02). Setter James Shaw directs the offense with 10.78 assists per set, good for fourth in the MPSF.
About UC Irvine
UC Irvine (18-10, 15-9 MPSF) won nine its final 11 matches to tie UCLA and Long Beach State for fifth place in the MPSF standings. Due to tiebreaker rules, the Anteaters received the six seed for the conference tournament. UC Irvine ranks in the top five in the MPSF in hitting percentage (.308), kills (13.23), assists (12.42), aces (1.36) and opponent hitting percentage (.251). Senior Scott Kevorken is third in the MPSF with a .445 attack percentage, while junior Zack La Cavera is fourth in aces (0.38). La Cavera also ranks in the top-15 in kills (3.45) and points (4.19). Junior libero Michael Brinkley anchors the defense with 2.54 digs per set.
The Season Series
Stanford won both regular season matches against UC Irvine this season. The Cardinal swept the Anteaters at Maples on Feb. 8. Seniors Steven Irvin and Eric Mochalski combined for 26 kills, 10 digs and five blocks, while both hit over .500 in the match. Last weekend, Stanford won a five-set thriller at UC Irvine. Senior Brian Cook paced the team with 18 kills, while Irvin added 15 kills and 13 digs. Jeremy Dejno led UCI with 17 kills and eight digs.
