STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 12 Stanford men’s rowing team will be heading North for two days of rowing in the State of Washington this weekend.

“Racing Washington, the three-time defending national champion and winner of five of the last six national titles, is just what we need to recapture our speed," said head coach Craig Amerkhanian. "The Huskies will push us to exceed our limits and risk for reward. Our varsity eight is very excited after a great week of practice."

On Saturday the Cardinal will take to the water against No. 3 Washington on the Montlake Cut in Seattle. Beginning at 9:15 a.m. with the varsity eight, Stanford will look to improve on its performance from the San Diego Crew Classic last weekend. Stanford will then pack up and travel to Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, Wash. for more racing onSunday.
