Hello Stanford Softball fans,
Welcome to this week’s edition of the blog! I hope everyone had a great weekend and is getting super excited for a weekend full of Stanford softball. Although our past couple of series haven’t gone exactly the way we would’ve wanted, we are ready to come out strong this weekend and beat the Huskies!
This past weekend we played at the University of Arizona. We were able to enjoy some much needed sunshine in Tucson after a rainy week here at Stanford. We had a huge fan turnout during our games and many of us got to spend some good quality time with our parents.
I certainly got to spend some much needed time with my friends and family, and even got to hit up some of my favorite restaurants in town (the Schabergs got to try out one of my favorite Mexican restaurants too!). After eating a Cinnabon (or two) and getting a bag full of delicious homemade cookies from my grandma to share with the team, we were headed back to Stanford.
We just finished up a tough week of practice and all of us are definitely ready to take down the Huskies. As an added bonus, we are having Bacon Night (that’s right…BACON GALORE) this Saturday night at the stadium.
The game this Sat., April 12 @ 7:00 PM is Bacon Night! Come out & enjoy all the bacon treats served by concessions! pic.twitter.com/94suEQoM3x— Stanford Softball (@StanfordSball) April 9, 2014
I hope to see everyone out at our games this weekend and if you can’t make it to the field our games will be televised on ESPNU and ESPN2 this weekend so you won’t miss a second of Stanford softball!
