After a weekend off, No. 2 Stanford women's water polo returns to action beginning Wednesday when it visits Santa Clara at 4 p.m. Wednesday will also feature the Cardinal "going green" as it continues its tradition of taking Caltrain to the Mission Campus.
Stanford's (4-0) three-game week continues Saturday as the Cardinal plays an I-5/I-80 doubleheader, first traveling to Stockton to take on Pacific at 1 p.m., then heading to UC Davis for a 6 p.m. meeting with the Aggies.
The Cardinal opened 2014 two weekends ago, winning the Stanford Invitational for the fifth straight year with an 8-4 victory over No. 3 UCLA. Kiley Neushul and Anna Yelizarova each scored 11 goals to pace the Cardinal over its four wins, and Neushul was named KAP 7/MPSF Player of the Week for her efforts.
This weekend also begins what will be 12 straight road games for the Cardinal until it returns to Avery Aquatic Center for a March 30 clash against USC.
