STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford will play host to the 116th Big Game when it welcomes the California Golden Bears Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. (PT). The game will be televised on FOX Sports 1. There are numerous events surrounding the football game with musical, alumni, community service opportunities and athletic events all coming together.

All week long, Cardinal fans can find specials on apparel from the Stanford Bookstore.

The band takes center stage at the Pier 39 Rally in San Francisco on Nov. 17 as it battles the Cal band. The Stanford band then kicks off Big Game Week with its virtual funeral of Oski the Bear at The Claw, on Monday at noon.

Later on Monday, the Big Game Rally happens at Angell Field, sponsored by the Stanford Axe Committee.

Tuesday is an important day as both campus participate in the Rivals For Life Blood Drive. Stanford’s takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation.

On Wednesday, select football players will make an appearance at the Guardsman Big Game Luncheon at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

Wednesday through Friday evenings at 8 p.m., Memorial Auditorium plays host to the 102nd Gaieties, one of Stanford's oldest and most beloved traditions. This entirely student-created musical comedy reminds us why we love Stanford and are destined to beat Cal at Big Game.

On Friday, Nerd Nation t-shirts go on sale from noon until 2 p.m. at the Arrillaga Alumni Center. If shirts remain, sales will continue during Saturday’s Fan Fest, which opens at 10:30 a.m.

Athletic events during the week, include Big Sail (Tuesday at noon in San Francisco), women’s volleyball vs. Washington (Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.), men’s basketball vs. Texas Southern (Thursday, 7 p.m.), men’s soccer vs. Loyola Marymount in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament (Thursday, 7 p.m.), women’s volleyball vs. Washington State (Friday, 6 p.m.) and the Big Splash with men’s water polo hosting Cal Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
