Season Tickets on Sale

Release: 07/08/2013

Season tickets are on sale for the Stanford men’s and women’s soccer teams, each of which will embark on historic seasons.

The men celebrate their 100th season and the women will attempt to reach a sixth consecutive NCAA College Cup while defending their four consecutive Pac-12 Conference championships.

Season ticket renewals can be purchased now. Also, new season tickets can be requested now, but seating will not take place until the first week of August.

Returning season ticket holders may renew tickets by logging into their online ticket account. And those seeking to purchase season tickets for the first time can also log into gostanford.com to purchase, or visit Soccer Central for information and pricing.

The Stanford men’s program is on the rise under second-year head coach Jeremy Gunn. The Cardinal went 9-8-1 and 5-4-1 during Gunn’s first season, earning winning records in overall and conference play for the first time since 2002 when Stanford reached the NCAA final.

With a strong recruiting class joining returning talent such as 2012 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Aaron Kovar, Stanford’s season should be memorable beyond its historic milestone. Stanford has played varsity soccer since 1911 and, other than missing three seasons during war years, has been going strong ever since.

The Stanford women return six starters and All-Americas Courtney Verloo, the team’s leading scorer, and goalkeeper Emily Oliver from a team that went 21-2-1 and reached the NCAA semifinals last year. Stanford’s entire forward line remains intact for five-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year Paul Ratcliffe, and adds Taylor Uhl, the nation’s leading scorer last season while at Minnesota. Recruits such as goalkeeper Jane Campbell and defender Stephanie Amack, should help continue the program’s run of success. In the past five years, Stanford has compiled a record of 116-6-5.

The Cardinal carries two significant streaks into the season: a 67-match home unbeaten streak, the second-longest in NCAA history; and a 42-match conference winning streak, the NCAA’s third-longest.

Reserved season tickets are $228 and general admission season plans are only $114. Season tickets consist of all 11 men's and all 10 women's regular-season matches, including a men’s/women’s doubleheader on Oct. 6.

Visit Soccer Central or call 1-800-STANFORD or (650) 723-1021 for information and purchasing. Tickets also can be purchased at the Stanford Athletics ticket office at Gate 2 of Stanford Stadium (Mon-Fri, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).
