INDIANAPOLIS - Felicia Lee splashed and dashed to a fourth-place finish in the 50m fly during the USA Swimming's Phillips 66 National Championships Wednesday at the Indiana University Natatorium.
Lee pounded through in 26.54 after posting a 26.94 in the prelims.
"Today was another good day of racing for us," Stanford head coach Greg Meehan said. "Maya DiRado will likely get to swim the 4x200 free relay in Barcelona with her fifth-place finish in the 200m free. Andie Murez and Felicia Lee continue to post best times in their events.
"We are pretty excited about our performances so far, and for what tomorrow has in store."
DiRado bettered her 1:59.53 prelim performance in the 200m free with a 1:58.41 and fifth-place showing in the finals. Murez (2:00.85) was 16th, one spot ahead of Lia Neal who went 1:58.87 in the C-Final. Julia Anderson (2:00.87) took 19th.
Sarah Haase (2:36.17) and Mary Olsen (2:41.33) swam in the prelims of the 200m breast.
Complete Phillips 66 National Championships information, including results and competition schedules, is available online at USAswimming.org. The action continues daily through Saturday. Prelims will be held each day at 6 a.m. (PT), followed by finals at 3 p.m.
This meet is the sole qualifier for the U.S. team for the pool competition at the FINA World Championships, which runs July 28-Aug. 4 in Barcelona. The winner of each Olympic event will claim an automatic spot on the roster.
Extensive television coverage of the event will be aired by the NBC Sports Group.
