STANFORD, Calif.- Junior Kristie Ahn has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for May 20-26.

The honor is the second of Ahn's career, as she also won the award back on May 2, 2011. She is the second straight women's tennis player to be recognized, following Ellen Tsay's appointment last week.

A native of Upper Saddle River, N.J., Ahn provided the clincher in Stanford's 4-3 victory over Texas A&M on May 21, resulting in Stanford's 18th national championship (17 NCAA, 1 AIAW) and extending its record streak of 37 years in a row with at least one NCAA title.

Tabbed an NCAA All-Tournament Team selection (No. 2 singles), the moment was especially memorable for Ahn, whose freshman year was cut short due to an ankle injury and sophomore year was nearly non-existent after having played in only three matches as she battle an assortment of injuries.
