Saturday, February 22, 2014: Music Mural & Arts Project

Details: Assist Music Mural & Arts Project in restoring murals in East Palo Alto. Student athletes will have an opportunity to work alongside community members as they use their artistic skills to refresh murals originally created by local youth in MMAP's Teen Mural Program. No prior painting experience necessary.

Project time: 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Location: East Palo Alto (transportation provided)

Saturday, April 5 2014: Rebuilding Together Peninsula

Details: We will work with Rebuilding Together Peninsula to help prepare a home or non-profit community facility for National Rebuilding Day (NRD).  Student athletes may be involved in paint preparation, debris removal, cleanup, landscaping or simple repair projects in preparation for a larger group that will work on the site later in the month.  No prior building experience is necessary; this project will likely require some physical exertion.  Please wear close toed shoes and long pants.

Project time: 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Location: East Palo Alto.  Transportation will be provided from Maples Pavilion.
