Admissions Process and DeadlinesApplying for Admission
All prospective student-athletes are required to complete an Undergraduate Admissions application and go through the regular admissions process. Most recruited student-athletes receive an admissions application through the Stanford coaches, but applications are also available from the Undergraduate Admissions Office. You can request an admissions application by phone or email, or complete your application on-line. (If you are planning on signing a National Letter of Intent during the November or February signing periods, it is not recommended that you apply on-line.)
In requesting an application from the Admissions Office or from a Stanford coach, you will also receive the Stanford Today viewbook, which includes background on Stanford University, information on the academic departments and extracurricular activities Stanford offers, and guidelines for the admissions and financial aid process.
If you are interested in becoming a Stanford student we strongly encourage you to browse the Undergraduate Admissions web site. You will learn more about the admissions process, recommended courses of study, and how applications are evaluated. Two Stanford Admissions videos are also available.
All students are required to present an SAT I or ACT score as part of their admissions application. SAT II tests are also recommended (Writing, Math IIC and one other of your choice). If you are planning to sign a November Letter of Intent we strongly recommend that you begin testing during your junior year of high school.
