BAMBERG, Germany - Stanford women's soccer player Marcia Wallis (Los Gatos, CA) tallied a goal as the U.S. Under-21 team defeated Finland 5-0 Tuesday. The U.S. advances to play host Germany in the championship game of the 2000 Nordic Cup on Thursday.
The U.S. scored four first-half goals before Wallis found the back of the net in the 82nd minute. The goal came off a corner kick from Caroline Putz, who sent a bending ball to the near post before Wallis flicked it to the back post.
