Pac-10 Basketball Tourney Travel Package Headlines Items Available Through GoStanford.com Official Auction

CARLSBAD, Calif., - Stanford fans have until mid-day Friday to bid on a number of unique items, at www.gostanford.com/ebay. Note that the ending times listed on the auctions are Pacific Daylight Time.

Items, currently available for bid through mid-day on Friday include:

  • Travel for two (2) with the Stanford University Men's Basketball team to the Pac-10 Post-Season Tournament in Los Angeles (March 11-13, 2004). Trip includes airfare, hotel accommodations, game tickets, and ground transportation to the hotel.
  • Souvenir/collectors item, one of a kind - official game ball and tee used in the 2003 "Big Game" kickoff. Item will be available after Nov. 22, 2003 when the Stanford vs. Cal Big Game is contested.
  • Sit in premier courtside seats as Stanford takes on Pac-10 rival, UCLA. Two courtside seats for Stanford vs. UCLA men's basketball on January 22, 2004.
  • A package that includes four press box tickets and pre-game field passes for the November 8, 2003 game against Arizona State University.

    Proceeds from this auction will benefit the Stanford University student-athletes. The auction is part of a nationwide program with eBay Sports and OCSN, which partners with Stanford and 144 university athletic departments and conferences to manage and maintain Official Athletic Sites.

    During the season, college football fans who show team spirit by buying licensed merchandise and memorabilia will make their dollars go the distance. From September through December, eBay Sports will track the amount of money collectively spent per team and release weekly top 25 standings. When the contest ends in January 2004, eBay will give the school that generates the most in sales a $25,000 donation to be used toward a scholarship-scoring a major victory for education.
