Jen Kasper begins her first season with the Stanford lacrosse program after joining the staff as an Assistant Coach on Aug. 22, 2007 and later being named co-Head Coach on Feb. 25, 2007.
Kasper, a four-year letter winner (2002-07) with the University of Maryland- Baltimore County, will bring her talent and administrative background to the Cardinal. As a red-shirt senior, Jen spent the last year working as an intern in the coaching office for UMBC. She was primarily responsible for running the University Physical Education Lacrosse class and devising the summer workouts for the UMBC lacrosse team.
Kasper will work with both the midfield and attack units in 2008 and will also bring strong organizational qualities to the program. A former competitor to the Cardinal after playing on The Farm twice in her playing career, Kasper will bring a youthful enthusiasm to the program. She will be an asset to the program as a goalkeeper coach and will run all aspects of the program with fellow co-head coach Adam Norton.
A native of Eldersburg, MD, Kasper was voted team captain for UMBC in 2006 and 2007. She also was named to the America East All-Conference Team in 2006 and 2007 after she led her team in assists in each of those seasons. Kasper was a member of the Northeast Conference Championship team in 2003, which enabled her to participate in the NCAA Tournament that season. Kasper has also been the Head Coach of the 2013 girls Check-Hers Elite Club team in her hometown of Eldersburg, MD after being an assistant coach for the South Carroll Juniors from 2004-06 in Winfield, MD.
