At Stanford – A two-sport athlete at Stanford, she started at forward for the Stanford Field Hockey team this fall in all 19 games...She posted 2 goals and 17 shots and helped guide the team to the NorPac Championship Game…In lacrosse, as a freshman in 2001 she sat out the first game of the season with an injury and then went on to start the next 17 and lead the team with 14 assists, placing her 8th in career assists…She added 3 assists vs. Davidson (3/7) which ties her for 2nd in the team record book for assists per game…In her best performance of the season she notched 4 goals and 2 assists to lead the Cardinal to a WWLL Championship victory vs. California (5/6), this included three consecutive goals in second half to seal the win…In field hockey team she played in 23 games as a freshman and started 22...She had 4 goals and three assists on the season and scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Pennsylvania... Prep – A member of the AAU Junior Olympics (’99) in field hockey…Awarded numerous honors for lacrosse including All-American 1st Team (’00), All-American Honorable Mention (’99)…A four-year letterwinner in both lacrosse and field hockey, she named 1st Team Northeast Ohio League sophomore, junior and senior seasons in both sports…Also named Team MVP (’99, ’00), Midwest National Team I (’98, ’99, ’00), Private School League MVP (’99, ’00) in lacrosse…Personal – Born June 10, 1982…Parents are Adrian and Najwa Dawood…Each summer from 1997-99 she volunteered in the oncology unit of a local children’s hospital…A Psychology major…Her freshman year she sang the national anthem for the final home game of the Stanford Field Hockey season and for the lacrosse home-opener…Interests include skiing, playing the piano and singing.
