Liz Kittleman rejoins the Cardinal coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach after taking a one year hiatus from the Stanford women's lacrosse program to manage the prestigious Avery Aquatic Center. Kittleman served as an assistant coach during the 2001 season, before accepting the position of director of lacrosse operations for the Cardinal in 2002.
Kittleman was a four-year letterwinner (1994-98) in lacrosse at Union College in New York, earning First Team Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association honors as a senior. She ranks fourth on the school's all-time scoring list in points and fifth in all-time goals. While at Union College, Kittleman also competed on the women's soccer team for four years and was captain in the 1997 and 1998 seasons. She was also a member of the women's ice hockey team in 1995.
Her coaching career began in the spring of 1999 when she coached girls lacrosse at the Shipley School in Pennsylvania. The following fall, Kittleman was an assistant coach for the boys soccer team at the Barrie School in Maryland.
A 1998 graduate of Union College, Kittleman earned her degree in Art History and began working in Philadelphia for a start-up dot.com as the Director of Regional Sales and Marketing. Prior to coming to Stanford, Kittleman worked for a national non-profit organization in Washington D.C. as the Director of Member Services.
Kittleman, 26, is currently an active member of San Francisco's club team, and has represented Pacific in the last three national tournaments.
