Shannon Montague begins her third year as Assistant Coach for Stanford Synchro. She graduated from Stanford in 2001 with a B.A. in Human Biology. While at Stanford, Shannon was a four-time Collegiate All-American and captured two collegiate national titles (1998, 1999), a 1st in team (1999), a 1st in trio (1998), and a 1st in solo (2000). In her senior year, Shannon led the team as Captain. She received the 2001 Collegiate Athlete of the Year Award and the 2001 Stanford Athletic Board Outstanding Senior Female Athlete Award.

Shannon was a three time member of the Junior National team, and helped the US capture 4th at the Junior World Championships in 1995. In 1996, she took first with the National team at the America Cup. Shannon was also honored as one of the top five finalists for the Dial Award which recognizes the top high school athletes in the country that excel in academics and athletics.

Shannon is a member of the Board of Governors which enacts and modifies all of the rules of the United States Synchronized Swimming Corporation.
