The 1999 Season: Started five games at free safety...He began the year as a backup to Tank Williams, but after Williams sustained an injury in game #6, Focht started the final five regular season games of the year...Finished the season with 27 total tackles, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries...All but five of those tackles came as a starter...Returned a fumble 37 yards for a touchdown against Notre Dame (Nov. 27)...Returned an interception 33 yards vs. Arizona State...His other interception came against Cal in The Big Game...Had eight tackles in his first start at USC...Followed that performance by accounting for seven tackles, one fumble recovery and two pass break-ups at Washington in his second start.
