AT STANFORD: Sixth-year senior who has successfully come back from two operations and one ground-breaking procedure on his right knee...underwent a procedure involving platelet-rich plasma (PRP) drawn from his own blood that was injected back into his injured tendon at the point of the tear...has played in 22 games over the last two seasons as a reserve but is primed for a starting role at right tackle on a talented offensive line.

2009 (SENIOR):
Played in all 13 games as a reserve offensive lineman.

2008 (JUNIOR):
Played in nine games to earn his first varsity letter...was cleared to compete at full speed for the final six workouts of the spring.

2007 (SOPHOMORE):
Missed the season due to injury...underwent a second surgery on his right knee.

2006 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN):
Missed the season while recovering from knee surgery to reattach the tendon to his knee.

2005 (FRESHMAN):
Did not see game action...first injured his right knee toward the end of the season while working with the scout team.

Graduated from St. John's High School in Worcester, Mass....was named the top recruit in Massachusetts by PrepStar and ranked as the sixth-best recruit in New England by SuperPrep as a senior...chosen all-Northeast by SuperPrep and Lemming's and earned all-East honors by PrepStar...named Gatorade's Massachusetts State Player of the Year and state's offensive MVP as a senior...two-time Central Massachusetts All-Star selection...started on both the offensive and defensive lines...first team all-state offensive lineman as a senior...totaled 75 tackles, 15 sacks, nine forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries...was also an outstanding prep wrestler...won the state and New England championship in the heavyweight division as a junior...also won the 2005 state title...finished with a 34-4 career record on the mat...served as high school president...member of the National Honor Society...father, Gerry, played football at Harvard...majoring in science, technology and society.
