At Stanford: Moved from running back to wide receiver last spring...One of the team's top break-away threats...Has great speed and acceleration...Will be in the hunt for playing time in 2000...Can stretch the defense with his speed...Two more years of eligibility remaining.

The 1999 Season: Early season injuries (thigh bruise, broken hand) limited his playing time through much of the first part of the season...Used as a backup halfback and special teams player...Finished the season with 39 yards rushing on 11 carries (3.5 ypc) and four kickoff returns for 58 yards (14.5 avg.)

The 1998 Season: Saw limited playing time as a reserve running back...Did not carry the ball, but had one reception for 18 yards, that coming in game #9 vs. USC...Also had four kickoff returns for 68 yards (16.8 avg.)

The 1997 Season: Redshirted the '97 season as a backup running back.

In High School: An All-Pac-10 Region selection by PrepStar and an All-Northwest Region choice by SuperPrep...Eddie gained over 1,300 yards rushing and scored 20 TDs for Kennedy HS as a senior as well as starting at defensive back, where he picked off three passes...Named First-Team All-State and All-Area as a defensive back and First-Team All-League as both a running back and defensive back...Selected as a Northwest Nugget as a running back...A Schutt Academic All-American...Started as a defensive back and flanker his junior season...He registered 20 receptions for over 400 yards and three TDs while gaining over 500 yards rushing and scoring another 16 TDs...Also had three interceptions and returned two kicks for touchdowns...Named Second-Team All-League as a running back his junior year...As a sophomore, he rushed for over 400 yards as a fullback while his brother, Leland, started at tailback...Also competed in HS track.

Personal Information: Born July 11, 1979...Computer science major...Brother, Leland, played football at Arizona from 1996-99...Eddie took college level courses at Highline Community College during his senior year in high school...Cousin, Darryl Lewis, starred at Arizona as a defensive back (1990 All-American, Jim Thorpe Award winner) and is currently playing in the NFL.
