Pac-12 Title: 800 Free Relay

National and International Competition: Swam at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, where he was 28th with a time of 1:50.47... swimming at the U.S. Nationals on the site of his future school, he finished 19th in the 200 free (1:51.96).... part of U.S. Junior National team... swam at the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore in 2010 and at an international event in Dublin, Ireland.

2011-12 (Freshman): Part of Pac-12 champion 800 free relay team, swimming third... Finished 14th in the 200 free and 15th in the 200 fly at Pac-12s. Also 13th in the 200 IM the fourth of sixth in one of two finals... during the regular season was third in the 200 free versus Hawaii.... swam 12th in the 200 fly at the fall Arena Invite.

High School: Part of lacrosse and swim teams at the Collegiate School... three-time state champion in 2007, 2008 and 2009... 16-time all-state swimmer, 14-time All-American, 13-time all-Virginia Prep League and a seven-time state champion... set the school-record in the 200 and 500 freestyles and was a part of record-setting 4x50 and 4x100 free relay teams... swam for Nova of Virginia Aquatics Swim Club.

Personal: Son of Scott and Karen Stephens... has one older sister, Carter, who is an all-Ivy League butterflier at Princeton.
