Summer Sailing: Finalist for the Youth America's Cup team, which will sail prior to the world's largest sailing event on the San Francisco Bay in late 2013.
2011-12: Named a coed All-American skipper by the ICSA... All-PCCSC skipper... part of a conference-first, six league titles during academic year, as he was a part of the winning match race squad in the fall, and the team and coed titles in the spring... he was one of two Stanford sailors to win three of the PCCSC titles... sailed at the team national championships in Austin, where the Cardinal finished eighth... also sailed at national coeds, where the Cardinal finished eighth... at the national semifinals, skippered the Cardinal to a franchise-best third place finish with Kelly Ortel as his crew, as the Cardinal finished in the top-five nine times in 14 races... skippered nine events during the year, mostly with Ortel... led the Cardinal to a second place finish at the Admiral's Cup in April... at the Navy Coed Regatta in the fall, skippered the Cardinal to third place with 10 top-five finishes in 18 races... also part of winning Big Sail team, going 2-0 against the Bears on the San Francisco Bay... finished third by going a combined 21-9 at the St. Mary's College of Maryland team race in March.
2010-11: Raced in 10 regattas, all as a skipper ... an All-PCCSC selection ... a part of Stanford's eighth-place performance in the National Team Championships and the Cardinal's 13th-place finish at the Coed Nationals ... came in fourth at the PCC Men's Singlehanded 2-Day to start the year on Sept. 25 ... had five top-10 finishes ... won the B Division North #2 in Monterrey after winning three of four races on the second day of competition ...also placed second at the Freshman Intersectional on Nov. 7 ... came in fourth at Stoney Burke in mid-October.
Prior to Stanford: Sailed for the U.S. At the 2008 International 420 Junior European Championships in Zadar, Croatia... competed at the Fleet Race Nationals for four seasons, finishing second three times (2007, 2008, 2010) and eighth in 2009... team won the title his senior year, after starting off at eighth in 2007 and moving up to third his sophomore season and second in 2009... spent two years on the swim team and three years on the water polo team.
Personal: Son of Tom and Lisa Laube... has one younger sister, Marie... majoring in economics.
