Greg Bacchetti begins his first season as the Director of Marketing and Promotions for the Stanford Soccer Program after many years of local coaching. For the last two seasons, Bacchetti served as the assistant coach for the women s program at nearby DeAnza Junior College. In addition, for the last five years, he has held the assistant post for both the boys and girls varsity teams at Palo Alto High School.
Bacchetti also brings years of camp coaching experience to the Farm, including each of the last three years with the Stanford Soccer Centers of Excellence and five years with youth development for the Palo Alto Soccer Club. As a collegian at Erskine College in South Carolina, Bacchetti was a starting goalkeeper for the Flying Fleet.
Prior to returning to his native California, Bacchetti owned his own restaurant, Rocky s Brick Oven Pizza, in Atlanta, Georgia. While in Atlanta, he was an assistant coach with both the Gwinett Soccer Association and the Top Hat Soccer Club.
Bacchetti holds family ties to The Farm, as he was born on the Stanford campus, his grandfather was a former music professor and his uncle, Ray Bacchetti, served as University Vice Provost.
Greg is currently finishing his degree in com-puter science from San Jose State.
