Jason Mansfield

Jason Mansfield begins his ninth year as a full-time assistant coach for the Cardinal and his 11th with the Stanford program. He shares in all of the program's coaching responsibilities.

Since first arriving on The Farm in 2002, Mansfield has been instrumental in helping Stanford maintain a place among the powerhouses of collegiate volleyball. In 10 seasons, he has helped Stanford advance to the NCAA Final Four five times, coached in five national championship matches and led the team to a national title. He has helped coach 14 players to a combined 29 AVCA All-America awards, and helped develop four National Players of the Year.

During the 2002 and 2003 seasons, Mansfield served as a volunteer coach and helped Stanford reach the NCAA title match in his first year. In 2004, Mansfield's first year with full-time responsibilities, he helped lead the Cardinal to its sixth NCAA Championship. In eight years as a full-time assistant, Mansfield has aided the team in securing five Pac-12 titles (2006-10), making four NCAA Final Four appearances (2004, 2006-08), posting four 30-win seasons (2004, 2006-08), reaching the national championship match four times (2004, 2006-08) and posting a 221-43 record.

Mansfield brings 17 years of coaching experience to The Farm, most recently having worked with Vision Volleyball Club as the 18-Gold Head Coach (2000-12). Mansfield's club teams have finished 5th place or better 11 times at the Junior Olympics. Jason has coached his team to Bronze Medal finishes in the 18 Open Division the past five consecutive seasons. His 2003 team won a Silver Medal in the 18 Open Division and in 1997 his team won a Gold Medal in 18 Club Division. Jason has coached 25 Junior Olympic All Tournament selections.

Mansfield earned his business management degree at Ashworth University in 2007. He and his fiance, Kim, will be married in July 2012.
