International and National Competition: Member of the U.S. Junior National team that competed at the Pan Pacific Championships in Maui in 2010... also a member of the U.S. Youth National Team in 2010-11... at the 2011 Junior Nationals placed ninth in the 100 fly... at Junior Nationals in 2010, placed second in the 100 fly and reached the A Finals of the 50 free, placing eighth... Olympic Trials qualifier in 2008 in the 100 fly.

2011-12 (Freshman): Swam 20th in the 100 free (50.18) and 17th in the 100 fly (53.78) at Pac-12 Championships... swam second in the 100 fly in a dual meet with Pacific.

High School, Club and Personal Data: Lettered four years in swimming and also competed in track at Downers Grove North High... team placed as high as fifth at the state meet in 2009... 15-time prep All-American... state champion in the 100 fly and 200 IM in 2010, as she was also a part of the state record setting 200 medley relay squad... four-time first team all-state... named the 2010 Illinois Swimmer of the Year... set the school-record in the 100 fly, 200 free and was a part of the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay and 400 free relay record holders... swam for Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics in 2011 and was a a part of the Express Swim Team from 2007 to 2011... daughter of David and Janice Sims and one of four children, joining older brother Burke and younger sisters, Maddy and Gabby... second generation Stanford swimmer following in the footsteps of her dad, David, a member of Skip Kenney's first recruiting class on the men's side and her brother, Burke, who is on the men's team... father was a part of the 1980 U.S. National team that boycotted the Olympics, mother, Janice, played volleyball at Southern Illinois and was a member of the Canadian National team.
