2000 Track & Field Season (Freshman): Finished the year as the #1-ranked 10,000 meter freshman in the NCAA ... His time of 28:54.30 is the third fastest ever by an American Junior and ranks seventh all-time at Stanford ... Competed in the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Duke at 10,000 meters where he helped Stanford capture its first NCAA track title in 66 years ... Finished third at 10,000 meters at the Pac-10 Championships in Eugene ... Captured the 5,000 meter title at the U.S. Track & Field Junior Championships in Denton, TX to earn a berth at the World Junior Track & Field Championships in Santiago, Chile.

2000 Cross Country Season (Freshman): Helped lead the Cardinal to the Pac-10 and NCAA West Regional titles ... Was Stanford's second runner and third place overall at the Pac-10's ... Was Stanford's third runner and eighth place overall at the NCAA West Regionals ... Stanford's fourth runner as the Cardinal finished fourth at the NCAA's.

1999 Cross Country Season: Redshirted, but finished second at the U.S. Cross Country Trials to earn a spot on the U.S. Junior Team for the World Cross Country Championships where he finished 37th.

High School: In track, won the Maine state meet in the 800 meters, mile and two-mile ... The 1998 National Scholastic indoor runner-up in the two mile at 9:06.17 ... Also the eastern Maine winner in all three events ... Ran 1:57 in the 800 meters, 4:17 in the mile, and 9:04 in the two-mile ... Finished second in cross country at the Footlocker Nationals in Orlando, Fl in 1998 ... Injured early in the season, but came on strong, winning the eastern Maine and state championships ...
