STANFORD, Calif. - After a week out from the gym, we were all ready to get back into the gym and do some gymnastics. Sunday practice was exciting; we were feeling fresh from being away from the gym all week and went all out on everything (even though we were doing mostly basics just to get back into things). Cross training week was fun, some of us are very athletic (Shelley Jo, Caldemeyer, Jenny, SKOLY) and some of us should just stick to gymnastics.

Monday was another great practice, building off the one before. Having two great days in a row is important because when we get to nationals, we are expected to compete two days in a row, being even stronger the second day. Our building block of the week was teamwork and with that we did beam team during Monday's practice. It was inspiring and confidence building to see the beam team work together, looking each other in the eyes before going up and then hitting every skill.

There were a million exciting things going on in the gym this week but some of the highlights were: Weedge does Geigner layout stepout on beam, Caldemeyer does a huge Tkachev on bars and her series for the first time in a year and a half... right on the high beam, Peach is getting an amazing new floor routine and lastly Amo does her sky high Arabian double front for the first time on hard floor; effortlessly.

Check in next week for more SWG updates!
