Lincoln, Neb. - The Stanford women's gymnastics team garnered two first-team and six second-team All-American honors Saturday morning at the NCAA Championship Banquet at the Nebraska Alumni Champions Club. The eight Cardinal awards marks the most in a single season in program history.

All-American status is determined by Thursday's scoring in both the first and second sessions of the 2003 NCAA Championships. First Team is determined by first to fourth place on each individual event, while second team is awarded for fifth through eighth places including ties in each session.

Freshman Natalie Foley (Englewood, CO) took seventh overall (fourth in Stanford's session) in the all-around with a 39.375, earning her first career First Team accolade. Foley also collected Second Team honors for her performance on vault and bars, tying for sixth and seventh, respectively.

Junior Lindsay Wing (Cypress, TX) garnered the Cardinal's other First Team honor for the balance beam. Wing tied for second in her session with a 9.900 and will represent Stanford in tonight's individual finals. She also picked up a second team award for bars, tying for fifth. Total, Wing has five career All-American honors.

Freshman Glyn Sweets (Reston, VA) earned her first All-American honors, gaining Second Team accolades for vault and beam. Sweets tied for sixth and seventh on the events, respectively.
