While the meet with defending national champion Georgia isn't until Sunday, January 13, Stanford Women's Gymnastics has provided two opportunities to meet the 2008 team before the season begins.
On Sunday, December 2 the team will participate in an intrasquad scrimmage against San Jose State at the Ford Center. This intrasquad will take place at 1:00 with warmups to begin, and the scrimmage will start at 2:30 p.m. The event will run until 5:00 p.m and there will be no charge. This will be the first time to see Stanford All-American's Tabitha Yim, Carly Janiga, Nicole Ourada, Liz Tricase, Kelly Fee, Blair Ryland along with the rest of the 2008 Cardinal compete before the regular season begins. The team retained all of its players from last season and added three talented freshmen from last year's "Super Six" appearance.
Stanford will also be having a "Parent's Night Out" on Friday, December 21 at Burnham Pavilion. This event will run from 3:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m and will consist of a variety of events. The Stanford Women's Gymnastics Team will show off their talents in a two hour structured scrimmage from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. In the second half of the evening, your child will be able to interact with the team and play in the 15,000 square foot training facility. Stanford will provide pizza, snacks and drinks a game and movie time, which will run from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
