STANFORD , Calif. - No. 10 Stanford women's gymnastics will be joined by three other nationally-ranked programs at the NCAA North Central Regional Women's Gymnastics Championships next month in Denver, Colo.
The Cardinal (13-5) is coming off a third-place finish at the 2002 Pac-10 Conference Championships last Saturday at Maples Pavilion. Stanford, which placed second with a 196.725 at last year's NCAA Regional in Ann Arbor, Mich., advanced to the NCAA Championships and finished eighth with a 195.400.
No. 3 Georgia, host school No. 14 Denver and No. 23 Missouri will also be competing at this year's NCAA North Central Regionals at the Magness Arena in Denver. Air Force and Utah State complete the six-team field.
The top two teams at the regional competition will advance to the NCAA Championships, set for April 18-20 at Alabama.
