Well we've made it through our first real week back here at Stanford after a long summer. You could see in our workouts that everyone has been itching to get back to work and start flipping again. With the new gym renovations (made possible by some very generous donors) we have all been throwing out some big skills. Lauren, one of the freshmen, is already doing piked full-ins off of our new tumble track and Liz has the most amazing hops in her legs. I miss the last year's seniors, but I think this new team has so much potential to build off what we were able to accomplish last year. I'm so excited for this season. We just set a few of our goals for this coming season and they are big. We've decided that the bar cannot be set too high, the freshmen are ready to tear it up and the upperclassmen are ready to help lead the charge. This month we are going to work mostly basics and conditioning so that our bodies are ready for when we start to put together our routines. We have some exciting things coming up this month and one of them is our meet the team event on October 30th from 6-8. Every year we do a little costume contest and we decided we are going to wear them to see our costumes, wear yours too, and meet the all the girls!
